About us

The School of Marxism of Nanjing University, with its excellent historical tradition, is an important base for Marxist theory research and talent cultivation based in Jiangsu Province and radiating across the country, and is a national key Marxist school and an advantageous discipline in Jiangsu Province. The strength of the discipline is strong, and it has formed distinctive features in the directions of research on the theory and practice of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, research on the creative transformation of traditional Chinese ethical and moral thoughts, research on the history of Marxist development, research on the frontiers of foreign Marxist social theories, and history of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and China's political development.

The college has a high-level faculty, with an overall size of about 80, including 2 Changjiang Scholars Distinguished Professors, 1 Four Young Talents, 1 Young Talents of Ideology and Culture of the Central Propaganda Department, 4 persons of the New Century Outstanding Talents Supporting Program of the Ministry of Education, 3 persons of the 333 High-level Talents Cultivation Project of Jiangsu Province, 2 persons of the Ministry of Education's “Selective Funding Program”, 2 persons of the Jiangsu Province Social Sciences Talents and Talents, and 2 persons of the Jiangsu Province Social Sciences Talents and Talents. In addition, there are 6 social sciences talents and excellent young people in Jiangsu Province, and 4 excellent young teachers of Civics and Politics courses in Jiangsu Province under the “Leader and Sail” Talent Program.

Job Description

  1. Completion of 6 hours of teaching per week;
  2. Publishing no less than 3 papers in high level journals within three years;
  3. Preside over one provincial or ministerial-level project;
  4. Ideally at least one year's experience as a counselor, class teacher and other student work, or enrollment, teaching, poverty alleviation, participation in the Confucius Institute and international organizations to aid foreign exchange and other work experience;
  5. Other jobs assigned by the College.

Requirements

  1. A doctoral degree with a disciplinary focus on Marxist Theory, Philosophy, Political Science, History, and Law;
  2. Experience of visiting or studying abroad in universities or research institutes is preferred;
  3. Proficiency in reading specialized books and literature, writing papers and academic communication in English is required; proficiency in other foreign languages is also preferred;
  4. Have systematic and solid basic knowledge of the specialty, good professionalism and scientific research methodology, strong teaching and research ability, and achieved a certain quality and quantity of research results, but also should have a good moral character, teamwork spirit and professionalism.

Remuneration

180000 RMB annually
