The Opportunity: 

We are seeking a new research assistant to join our team on the Wellcome-funded AMBIENT-BD project. The appointee will work predominantly on the main data collection component of AMBIENT-BD (workstream four), which is an 18-month follow-up study of sleep, circadian rhythms and clinical/functional outcomes in people with bipolar disorder. This role is part of a broader multi-disciplinary team, led by the Principal Investigator (Professor Daniel Smith). This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns.

The salary for this post is UE07 £40,497 - £48,149 per annum

Your skills and attributes for success: 

  • Experience of data collection in the areas of sleep and mental health
  • Expertise in the use of analytical techniques for data on mood, sleep and/or rest-activity rhythms
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent management and organisational skills
  • Experience of working effectively within a team and the ability to work independently
  • A commitment to open science practices
