Faculty Position in Information Systems

We are inviting experienced candidates with international qualifications to apply for a faculty position in teaching Information System, Data Science and Business Analytics at the Business School. 

LECTURER - Teachers with academic experience (with PhD/DBA)

SENIOR LECTURER - Teachers with academic and research experience (with PhD/DBA) 

Experience in Programme Management would be highly desirable, with progression to the position of Programme Leader available for suitable candidates.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Essential

• PhD or Doctoral qualifications and Master’s degree in a relevant discipline area from an internationally recognized institution.
• University or postgraduate teaching experience in English.
• Sufficient breadth or depth of specialist knowledge in the discipline to develop teaching programmes and the provision of learning support.
• Knowledge of higher education and ability to use a range of up-to-date delivery techniques to enthuse and engage students.
• In-depth understanding of own specialism to enable the development of new knowledge and understanding within the field.
• Research experience.
• Evidence of high-quality publications in research or practice.
• Evidence of (CPD) and/or professional industrial membership.
• Understanding of equal opportunity issues as they may impact on academic content and issues relating to student needs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Clean police record.

Desirable

• Experience of living and working in Vietnam or Asia
• Experience of teaching, curriculum development and quality assurance and enhancement in a Higher Education environment.
• Evidence of a positive impact at a discipline or programme level beyond own teaching
• Higher education teaching qualifications, recognition, accreditation, or willingness to work towards this.

Note: Original certificates and degrees must be presented upon arrival in Vietnam, including degree, teaching certificates, and Criminal Records Bureau or other police checks for work permit purposes.
