If the idea of supporting the next generation of pharmacy students to meet the new educational standards, and helping develop the essential skills required for prescribing within the pharmacy arena is an ambition you have considered, then reach out to the MPharm Course Team at Teesside University for an informal discussion about joining our team.
Working towards full accreditation of an MPharm programme with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), and having recently passed Step 3 of this process, the current team is looking to expand. Based at the Middlesbrough Campus, our facilities and environment boast a transformation of the Campus Heart through a £300m investment and capital development programme, to support the creation of outstanding, innovative academic programmes, where our work is relevant, and purpose driven.
We are seeking an outstanding individual with experience at a senior level to provide academic leadership within our growing team and the wider Teesside University community. You will work as part of the MPharm Leadership Team with the Director of Pharmacy, Head of Pharmacy Practice and the Head of Pharmaceutics - bringing your experience in setting curriculum direction, assessment strategy and the embedding of an ambitious Learning In Practice model, which has already well-established commitment from placement providers in the region.
You will join the School of Health & Life Sciences, where our team of expert researchers and educators to drive our focus on promoting research-led practice to shape the future of healthcare and innovative teaching to develop the prescribing pharmacists of the future. We offer an exciting opportunity to contribute to the strategic planning and growth of research both within the Pharmacy team and across our wider research environment, as well as opportunities to lead aspects of the development and delivery of high-quality teaching and student experience.

You will use your specific expertise to contribute to teaching, knowledge exchange, enterprise, and business engagement. Applicants must hold (or be willing to achieve) a relevant Teaching Qualification normally within two years of employment i.e PGCHE/Higher Education Academy (Associate Fellow/Senior Fellow) accreditation.
