Senior Technician

The School of Engineering has a vacancy for a Senior Technician based within the Architectural and Civil Engineering (ACE) department, carrying out materials/structural testing, instrumentation, calibration, and data analysis. Working as a member of the technical support team you will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of materials testing equipment, the setting up of instrumentation/data logging equipment, and the general housekeeping of the facility. Additionally, the role will involve supporting teaching, research and other student activities within the laboratories and workshops as well as providing technical support to other departments within the school.

This post is full time 35 hours per week and is available immediately and is open ended.

Salary: £27,644 - £30,805 per annum (Grade 4). It is not anticipated that an appointment will be made above point 18 - £27,344 per annum.
