Applications are invited for the above part-time (80% FTE) fixed term post working in the Integrated Research and Impact Support (IRIS) Service. IRIS is responsible for the supporting the University's research activities covering pre-award, post-award, knowledge exchange activities and impact and incorporating the Doctoral School. The team sits within the University’s Strategy, Planning & Research Directorate which also has responsibility for strategic projects and partnerships, strategic and business planning, risk assurance, business intelligence, and statutory data returns.
This post holder will be central to negotiating the student placements with external partners (academic and non-academic), working closely with the academic supervisors and the ESRC postgraduate research (PGR) students across the seven universities. The post-holder will provide a pivotal role in implementing Equality, Diversion and Inclusion as a cross-cutting concern and ensuring that the hosts meet WGSSS EDI requirements. The post holder will also support the full portfolio of activities in the Doctoral School, such as other DTPs and IRIS as required.
Candidates should be educated to an AS/A level standard (or equivalent) and have a strong track record of administrative and relevant project experience. Candidate should also be able to demonstrate knowledge of accounting principles and financial matters.
The successful candidate will be expected to commence as soon as possible and the post is available until 31st August 2029.
The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable for this post.
Due to the nature of the role the candidate will be required to work from the office for most of their time. Through our Dynamic Working framework, there will also be the option to spend some time working remotely (although remaining in the UK) to support work life balance, which will be discussed further with candidates at interview.
