About the role
The post of Rankings Manager is a new role for the UCL School of Management, as it seeks to enhance its profile and reputation as a leading business school.
The post holder will lead the development of a rankings strategy for the School, providing high-level project management support to the School Director, Director of Student Experience, and other senior colleagues across the School.
They will proactively engage with both School and external stakeholders to initiate, embed, and coordinate rankings activity, manage rankings data, and monitor the School’s performance in rankings tables such as QS and the Financial Times, and in UK league tables such as the Guardian University Guide and the National Student Survey.
The role requires a strong focus on data analysis and management, attention to detail, and a commitment to advancing the School's reputation through rankings. The post holder will also need to demonstrate substantial practical experience in successfully managing projects and be able to provide evidence of influencing staff at all levels, to achieve results.
Salary details – UCL Grade 8 £52,762 - £ 62,035 (including London Allowance)
About you
We are seeking an effective and driven Rankings Manager with experience in developing key performance indicators, analysing and interpreting data, and demonstratable experience working directly on national and international rankings and league tables (e.g. QS, FT) and identifying pathways to improvement in a Higher Education or similar environment.
The successful candidate will be expected to develop key performance indicators to support rankings objectives and build relationships with, and work effectively with, a range of different stakeholders across a varying level of seniority and have excellent strategic development planning skills with a focus on setting objectives, delivering against them, and the ability to understand how strategy supports a wider organisational strategy.
