About the role:
We are currently looking for a Scientific Officer within the Flow Cytometry Facility in the rapidly developing field of flow and mass cytometry.
The Facility is equipped with state-of-the-art fluorescent based technology for sorting (Bigfoot, Aria, and Melody) and analysis (Sony ID7000, Fortessa, LSR, Novocytes and Imagestream) along with mass cytometry (CyTOF XT) providing an exciting and innovative research and training environment at the leading edge of cell functional analysis and phenotyping.
Your main duty will be, as part of a team, to provide a cell sorting service with additional duties supporting the analysis service and offering front line user support. This is a great opportunity for someone who wishes to move into the field of flow cytometry technology to develop phenotyping platforms in the cancer research field.
About you:
You should have a degree in a relevant subject or equivalent relevant experience. You will have relevant experience working in a research or analytical laboratory setting along with experience of working to exacting quality control procedures.
