Worcester College proposes to appoint a one-year fixed-term Lecturer in French from 1 October 2025. The vacancy is to replace the current postholder who will be taking sabbatical leave during this period. The successful applicant will be required to teach the first-year literature papers; translation from French into English to all years; and early modern French literature with a particular focus on the eighteenth century to second- and fourth-year students. They will also be required to assist with the administration of French studies at Worcester College, including organising tuition, offering pastoral care to students, and participating in the undergraduate admissions process.
