UHI Perth’s Music Industries and Theatre Arts department is a hub of creativity, innovation, and excellence. Students study the following courses: Musical and Technical Theatre, Popular Music, Music Business, Audio Engineering, Visual Arts and Communications to name a few. The faculty provides a high-quality learning journey that reflects the increasingly collaborative/divergent world of technical and creative practice and supports the lifelong career development of students and industry professionals.
You should be an experienced Theatre Technician, with current industry experience and applied knowledge of theatre technologies and the managing of a performance space for a range of users. Relevant experience in providing technical support for (musical) theatre productions with a solid and practical understanding of current health and safety legislation/compliance are essential. You should also have experience in engaging and supervising young people and adults from diverse backgrounds within a theatre production context.
