A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our small but busy Academic Quality Unit (AQU) team. As the Quality Assurance Administrator, you will support the team with planning for key events and provide administrative support for our quality assurance and enhancement procedures, ensuring that UCEM holds accurate programme documentation. You will have the opportunity to support with validation and apprenticeship approval, periodic review and re-validation, annual monitoring and programme amendment, supporting the Director of Academic Quality and Quality Assurance Officer as and when required. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to enter Higher Education administration.

Your accountabilities and responsibilities include:

  • Support Programme Leaders to engage in Programme Review and to complete Programme Enhancement Plans
  • Plan key quality events including external quality audit, validation, periodic review, re-validation and quality training events
  • Assist in the compilation of the annual reports required by PSRBs and other regulatory bodies
  • In the Student Case Work Officer’s absence, act as UCEM Complaints and Appeals Officer

Our main requirements:

  • GCSE Maths and English Language Grade C or 4 or above
  • Experience in a similar role within an office environment
  • Accurate and strong attention to detail
  • Ability to interact, communicate and build relationships with people; a personable approach
  • Strong planning, co-ordination and organisational skills and the ability to work to and meet deadlines; methodical and logical
