The Income & Collections Team are seeking an experienced hard-working Invoicing Assistant to provide a friendly high-quality service to our internal and external customers.
Reporting to the Invoicing Team Leader, the successful candidate will process information to raise invoices to our external customers. They will deal with a range of financial enquiries regarding the University Sales Ledger and the customer database. They will offer advice to our contacts and work closely with the other members of the Invoicing team to help ensure a smooth workflow. The successful candidate will work in a small team and work closely with the other three team members on various tasks needed for the day. They must be a good team player and able to work with others in a professional manner. They must also be able to work independently and to use their own initiative.
The successful candidate will spend time working in the Professional Services Hubs across the local University Campuses and also work remotely as part of The University's blended approach to Agile Working.
Candidates should hold a minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) including Mathematics and English at Grade 4 (or equivalent) or higher. Candidate will have previous experience of a Financial/Accounting Application Package e.g. Oracle, Agresso, Sage, SAP Finance System etc. They will be proficient in use of SharePoint and Teams. Good customer service skills and an exceptional eye for detail are essential and a good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite would be desirable.
The post is offered on a permanent contract. Hours of work are full time, 36.25 hours per week Monday to Friday working between 9.00am to 5.15pm. Job share arrangements may be considered.
A generous holiday entitlement of 27 days plus standard bank holidays and university closure days between Christmas and the New Year.
