The Sexual health, HIV All East Research (SHARE) collaborative for health equity are recruiting a Research Assistant to join their interdisciplinary research grouping based across both the Blizard Institute and the Wolfson Institute of Population Health. The grouping was established to address the inequities that lead to poorer health outcomes from infections like HIV, mpox, viral hepatitis and COVID-19.
You will undertake research investigations in collaboration with and under the supervision of Professor Chloe Orkin in order to realise the objectives and development of the research programme into health equity. The role will be based in the Blizard Institute.

This is an opportunity for a candidate with a Postgraduate (MSc/ MA) qualification in a relevant subject, completed or submitted to be part of this exciting programme of work, spanning multiple strands. Your experiences to date will include conducting qualitative research (qualitative data collection and management) in a health care or community setting, and of conducting research with vulnerable / diverse populations.
You will have a proven ability in both research design and in working sensitively and developing rapport and trust with research participants from different backgrounds, demonstrating a clear understanding of how your work can contribute to reducing inequities.
We particularly welcome applications from people who identify as Black, Asian or Other ethnicity as these groups are underrepresented at this level at Queen Mary.
