We are recruiting an enthusiastic and motivated research assistant/associate with expertise in construction materials and life cycle assessment (LCA) to join an exciting project funded by EPSRC and Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), in collaboration with Carbon Neutral Cities Alliance (CNCA). The project focuses on the use of bio-based materials in new build homes and in retrofitting together with a carbon calculator for making decisions on sustainable solutions for GMCA’s ongoing and future projects. As one of the projects supports by CNCA’s “European Cities Pioneering Low-Carbon Buildings for a Just Transition” initiative, the role offers exciting opportunities for international collaboration, including sharing and disseminating knowledge between 14 major European cities/metropolitan area project partners. The role will be based in Department of Civil Engineering and Management within School of Engineering at the University of Manchester.
