ENCHE Network Manager

This post is full time (35 hours p/w) and fixed term for up to 24 months from the start date.

Background and Overview

The European Network on Climate and Health Education (ENCHE) was launched in partnership with the Global Consortium on Climate and Health Education (GCCHE) in October 2024, and is supported by the Sustainable Markets Initiative (Health Systems Task Force). The aims of the ENCHE network are to:

• Build a network of European medical schools, and arrange online and in-person meetings of its members
• Engage 10,000 students over 2 years on climate and health within their medical curriculum
• Enable the next generation of medical professionals to understand climate impact on health and vice-versa, and how to deliver care that supports people, planet and society
• Be in active conversation with 3 national regulatory bodies about inclusion of sustainability content

Job purpose

School of Medicine, Dentistry and Nursing is looking for a manager to provide professional and organisational support to the European Network on Climate and Health Education (ENCHE) Network co-Chairs and working groups by contributing to the management and delivery of the ENCHE network.

This will include managing the day-to-day running of the network, researching and drafting papers and presentations, interacting with key internal and external contacts, and proactively and independently managing selected projects.
