ABOUT THE POST
An opportunity has arisen within the Department of Estates for a Security and Resilience Manager to join the Estates Operations Team.

You will be responsible for managing the strategy, systems, procedures and associated staffing arrangements for ensuring that London Metropolitan University provides a safe, secure and welcoming environment for students, staff and visitors.

This role will report to the Senior Facilities Manager, working closely with the wider Estates Team.

As Security & Resilience Manager you will:

• Manage security systems and persons through both in-house resources and external contractors to ensure and improve the safety of university visitors, staff and students.
• Manage a 24-hour control room and ensure maintenance of records in accordance with all statutory requirements.
• Manage emergency response, critical service failure and business continuity plans for the department and wider university.

This is a 35-hour week contract but flexibility is essential as you may need to undertake some evening and weekend work, as and when required.

The successful postholder will hold an SIA licence or have the ability to obtain one.
