The Cambridge Centre for Chinese Theology, acting in concert with the Faculty of Divinity, wishes to appoint a part-time Project Coordinator to support the day-to-day running of Centre and the creation of new resources. The post is available from 1 June 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter and is part time (0.4FTE). The funds for this post are available for 4.5 years in the first instance.
The Cambridge Centre for Chinese Theology's mission is to facilitate global and cross-cultural dialogues on Chinese theology and serve as an interface between Western and East Asian theological institutions and scholars. We strive to advance theological research which addresses the contexts, culture, and concerns of Chinese Christians, the study of theological work emerging from China and the Chinese diaspora, and the facilitating of closer links between theologians from the West and those in China and elsewhere in Asia.
We require an organised, efficient and accurate individual with excellent interpersonal skills for the post of Project Coordinator. The duties of this varied role will include creating and maintaining the Centre's records, serving as first-point-of-contact for enquiries, coordinating & supporting activities and events (including some on site and out of hours working), carrying out financial administration, providing administrative support to the Researchers, and some website and publicity work. Candidates must be experienced in using Microsoft Office and have previous experience in an administrative role. Familiarity of working within a Higher Education setting is desirable.
