The Deputy Head of Revenues at St Mary's University will play a pivotal role in overseeing the management of revenue invoicing, collection, and accounting, including student fees (tuition and accommodation), grants, and commercial income. Reporting directly to the Head of Revenues, this individual will manage a small team, ensure accurate and timely invoicing, and drive the collection of outstanding fees.
Key responsibilities will include leading credit control, maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders (e.g., Registry, Student Services, and the International Department), and managing external relationships with third-party collection agencies. The Deputy Head will assist in financial reporting, ensuring accurate records for tuition fees, grants, and other revenue streams. Additionally, the role holder will support the team by performing essential tasks like cash handling, reconciliations, and liaising with external bodies such as the Student Loan Council.
You should have strong experience in accounts receivable, credit control, and team management, with excellent communication and organizational skills. Experience in the higher education sector, familiarity with student records systems (SITS:Vision), and a solid understanding of financial controls are highly desirable. The role also demands flexibility, initiative, and the ability to adapt to a changing environment.
