LSE is committed to building a diverse, equitable and truly inclusive university
(This is a fixed-term appointment for 12 months to provide maternity cover)
Salary from £42,429 to £50,656 pa inclusive (pay award pending) inclusive of London allowance
The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is one of the foremost social science universities in the world. LSE is a vibrant and cosmopolitan community in the heart of London, with a diverse staff and student body.
The Human Resources Division supports approximately 4,000 staff and works hard to make LSE a great place to work as well as study. Strong, well communicated HR policies are a core component of a successful HR Division, and we currently have an exciting opportunity within the LSE HR Policy Team.
The HR Policy Adviser ensures that operational policies are maintained and improved in line with legislative changes and developments within the organisation, as well as developing new guidance documents and initiatives that support the direction of travel at LSE. Supporting with staff engagement projects and employee relations matters as well as managing our mediation service are also core elements of the role.
In order to be successful in this role, a candidate will therefore need to have excellent written skills, be an effective communicator and have experience and understanding of a broad range of HR areas in order to contribute across a range of policy topics, alongside an analytical and organised approach which achieves results. A proactive, thorough approach to work and attention to detail are a must.
We offer an occupational pension scheme, generous annual leave, hybrid working and excellent training and development opportunities.

Should you have any queries about the role or working at LSE, please contact Lisa Morrow, Director, HR Policy and Employee Relations, at l.morrow@lse.ac.uk.
The closing date for receipt of applications is 9 March 2025 (23.59 UK time). Regrettably, we are unable to accept any late applications.
