Introduction:
We are looking for an experienced Information Technology Manager who will be responsible for the research computing services within the LSE Research Laboratory (RLAB) which encompasses highly impactful academic research centres - the Centre for Economic Performance (CEP) and the Suntory and Toyota International Centres for Economics and Related Disciplines (STICERD) - and their associated programmes.
This is a senior leadership role which delivers and assures the technology which underpins and enables the centres’ well-respected, data-driven, high-performing research environment. The successful candidate will oversee the continuing development of a secure, forward-looking research infrastructure, act as an expert technologist, ensure that platforms are secure and safe, and deliver improvements to services and support, where necessary.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties will include overseeing the operation and strategic development of research computing infrastructure, managing the IT team, effective project and budgetary management, engaging with internal and external stakeholders and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
