We are seeking to expand our apprentice skills coach provision in the Faculty of Education, Health and Human Sciences at the University of Greenwich. A suitable candidate would be pro-active with excellent interpersonal skills to support trainee health care professionals across a range of disciplines. As an apprentice skills coach you will be responsible for meeting with apprentices and their employers to review their progress against the health care apprenticeship standards.
The Apprentice Skills Coach will be the initial point of contact for apprentices within the School of Health in Faculty of Education, Health and Human Sciences, providing information, advice and guidance, monitoring progress against the relevant standards and maintaining strong relationships in this rapidly developing field which is an area of strategic growth for the University.
You will conduct regular reviews with the apprentices and their line managers, using a coaching approach to help learners develop and apply Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours in the workplace to remain on track for timely completion of their apprenticeship.
The ideal candidate will have excellent administration and digital skills, with a dedicated and flexible approach to working, to ensure high levels of achievement for our learners. A knowledge and understanding of the apprenticeship programmes delivered by the University of Greenwich with a detailed knowledge of a Professional and Statutory body (i.e. NMC, HCPC, RCSLT, etc.) is essential.
The role is within the professional services team in the Faculty of Education, Health and Human Sciences which is one of four faculties at the University of Greenwich and is the only faculty split across all three of the University campus, Avery Hill in Eltham, Medway Campus in Chatham Maritime, and the Greenwich Campus in Greenwich, London. The role will require collaborative work with colleagues in the Faculty and across other centralised University teams.
We offer a friendly and supportive working environment with plenty of opportunities to develop within the role and become more involved in the wider university community.
