The London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) is one of the world’s leading public health universities. We are seeking to appoint a Research Fellow to join an exciting research programme exploring evidence informed priority setting to inform Health Benefit Package (HBP) Design for Universal Health Coverage in Rwanda and Kenya, as part of a National Institute for Health and Care Research Global Health research consortium. The post holder will contribute to research on the health system and economic impact of health benefit package design and the resulting policy changes and to a capacity strengthening programme around HBP design.
The successful applicant will have a postgraduate degree, ideally a doctoral degree in a relevant topic, relevant experience in economics and financing of health systems in low and middle income countries, with a strong quantitative background. The post is full time 35 hours per week, 1.0 FTE and fixed-term until 28 September 2028. The post is funded by the National Institute of Health and Care Research and is available immediately.
The salary will be on the Academic Pathway salary scale, Grade 6 in the range £44,847 - £50,808 per annum (inclusive of London Weighting). The post will be subject to the LSHTM terms and conditions of service. Annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year, pro rata for part time staff. In addition to this there are discretionary “Wellbeing Days”. Membership of the Pension Scheme is available. The post is based in London at LSHTM.
