We have an exciting opportunity in the School of Medicine and Population Health for a Research Associate in Normative Social Preferences to join Policy Modelling for Health (HealthMod), a £7.5 million multi-institution research project funded by Population Health Improvement UK (PHIUK), led by the University of Glasgow.
HealthMod <https://www.phiuk.org/policy-modelling-for-health> examines the use of computer models to estimate the impact of policies on people’s economic circumstances and their health.
The post-holder will be responsible for the day-to-day running of Work Package 9 (WP9), led by Professor Aki Tsuchiya, a health economist based at the University of Sheffield.
WP9, on the Elicitation of Normative Social Preferences, will conduct stated preference studies to quantify how members of the public value multidimensional policy outcomes relative to each other.
Educated to PhD or equivalent in a social science subject, ideally in economics, behavioural sciences or psychology, you will have experience of designing, conducting and analysing interviews with members of the public, and experience of quantitative data analysis using econometric software (e.g., Stata, R).
