We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Fellow to join the School of Health and Wellbeing within Professor Petra Meier’s Systems Science in Public Health research group.
The postholder will make a leading contribution across a portfolio of existing and planned societal challenges-focused research programmes. This includes the management and direction of complex, interdisciplinary projects, the formulation and submission of research proposals that contribute to the financial sustainability of the group, and dissemination activities including academic publishing. Priorities for the post include to support: (1) the UKRI-funded Policy Modelling for Health consortium, which focuses on the economic determinants of health inequalities, enhancing the utility of policy models and democratising policy modelling, (2) the systems transformation workstream of the NERC-funded GALLANT – Glasgow as a Living Lab Accelerating Novel Transformation, which supports our policy and practice partners when they navigate social, health and planetary priorities; and (3) new research and engagement contributing to strategic University and College initiatives (e.g., the Healthy and Equitable Futures Mission of Glasgow Changing Futures). Future-focused qualitative, quantitative and systems research will be a particular priority.
The successful candidate will be an excellent team worker, collaborative leader, and an effective partner in national and international collaborations, including partnerships with policy, practice and community.
You will undertake administrative tasks as allocated by the Professor Meier and be responsible for the supervision of graduate students and research assistants as appropriate.
Informal enquiries should be directed to Professor Petra Meier Petra.Meier@glasgow.ac.uk
This post is part time (28 hours per week) and has funding until 30th November 2027.
