About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Patient research Team Lead to join the CHARMER study. The CHARMER study is an NIHR-funded programme of research. This role is a fixed term contract for 3 months with the expectation of extension dependent on funding. CHARMER is testing an approach to increasing discussions with patients about stopping medicines that are no longer useful and could be harmful. CHARMER is being tested on wards that specialise in the care of older people.
Collaborating organisations are the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, Cambridge University Hospitals Foundation Trust and the Universities of York, Leeds, Newcastle East Anglia. The project aims to refine and test a practitioner behaviour change intervention to increase proactive deprescribing for older people in hospital.
You will be an integral member of the CHARMER research team.
About you
You will have experience within a PPI team for research studies. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and ideally you will have previous experience of leading and supporting a PPI team. You will have strong communication skills and be comfortable managing and prioritising your own workload.
The research team operates a flexible-hybrid working model and everyone is supported to contribute effectively to ensuring that milestones are delivered in a timely manner. Some members of the research team work 100% remotely and the successful candidate may opt to do this if they wish.
