About the role
A high-calibre and experienced scientist, or academic, is sought with an established research profile in the area of MRI for this integrated clinical/academic post.
This is a 50:50 clinical: academic post & the postholder will have a jointly agreed job plan and will undertake joint appraisal. The clinical aspects will be undertaken in Department of Medical Physics, University Hospitals of Leicester (UHL) NHS Trust, to provide high quality research, innovation and training activities. Scientific and technical expertise is required to play an active part in the development, management, and safe operation of MRI equipment across the Trust.
Applicants must either have Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) registration as a Clinical Scientist (protected title) or achieve registration within 3 years of appointment. Training will be provided as required and they will be integrated within the clinical team at UHL.
The appointee will be awarded an honorary contract by UHL.
