This is an exciting opportunity to become involved in an international consortium, called PREP-EU, which produces evidence syntheses on topics related to public health emergency preparedness and response for the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC).
The Nottingham Centre for Evidence Based Healthcare, within the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, is leading a work package focusing on identifying knowledge gaps that inhibit or limit confidence in the delivery of current and future actions in support of One Health to direct future European Union (EU) research action towards useful knowledge generation and synthesis to improve delivery of a One Health approach in the EU. The successful candidate will work, under supervision, on planning and conducting the work using approaches or methodologies and techniques appropriate to the type of evidence synthesis required to meet the request for services as detailed by the ECDC. Where funding permits, the successful candidate will also work on future projects which will focus on public health emergencies and response as prioritised by the ECDC.
There will be opportunities to develop wider skills within evidence synthesis. There will be attendance at meetings and potential to be involved with publications from this work.
