Assistant Accountant x 2 posts

This is an exciting opportunity to become an Assistant Accountant (2 posts) in the Finance Department at the University based on the Exton Park campus in Chester city centre (including some remote working).

These roles will contribute to the delivery of quality financial information and support to a wide range of internal and external customers.  Tasks will include preparation of budgets, annual forecasts, month end / year end routines and reconciliations, project monitoring / reporting and supporting budget holders through business partnering.

 We are seeking enthusiastic team players, who are willing to learn and develop as part of a wider group of friendly and highly skilled professional services staff.

The successful candidates will have

• excellent organisational and communication skills
• experience of working in an accounts environment.  
• accuracy and attention to detail for compliance with regulations
• the ability to work independently and as part of a team

Knowledge of university finance system (Unit4 Business World) and project experience would also be desirable.  

AAT Membership or actively studying towards accounting qualification e.g. CIMA is required.
