We wish to appoint a Lecturer (education focused) (Grade 7 of our salary scale) within the Department of Philosophy. This will be a full-time fixed term contract for 33 months, commencing on September 1st, 2025.
The main goal of the post is to provide a teaching replacement for Dr. Mara van der Lugt, who has obtained from the John Templeton Foundation the 33 month grant Existential Gratitude and Spirituality.
The lecturer is expected to provide teaching in the areas of early modern philosophy at all levels of our undergraduate curriculum as well as in the MLitt. The post holder will give lectures, seminars, tutorials, and may be asked to coordinate modules and carry out other standard teaching and administrative tasks as required. As the post is tied to externally funded grants, it will not be renewed.
