About the role
We are looking for an Administrator, working in the Bodleian Health Care Libraries, but also supporting the Radcliffe Science Library.
The Bodleian Health Care Libraries (BHCL) fall within the Science and Medicine group of libraries, and are located at three sites in Headington: The John Radcliffe Hospital; The Old Road Campus Research Building and The Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre. We also have a library in Banbury at the Horton Hospital. The Libraries’ main users are staff and clinical students from the University of Oxford, and NHS staff in the Oxford University Hospitals NHS Trust.
Working as part of the BHCL, the post holder will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Bodleian Health Care Libraries with some support as required for the Radcliffe Science Library (RSL), part of the MSD & MPLS Bodleian Libraries. The post holder will work under the Deputy Head of MSD and MPLS libraries.
This is a part-time, fixed-term position, working 29.2 hours per week until 31 March 2027, based at the Cairns Library, John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford.
About You
You will cover administrative, financial and some physical space functions as well as liaison with other University departments, NHS departments and external contractors and suppliers.
You will need experience of administrative and office work, and excellent interpersonal skills to liaise with internal and external departments within the university and NHS.
