The University of Surrey is seeking an experienced Regional Manager to lead international student recruitment across the Middle East, North Africa and Pakistan. In this strategic role, you will establish and cultivate strong relationships with key stakeholders, including agents, sponsors, and school counsellors. Using a variety of recruitment methods, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing recruitment plans, ensuring alignment with the University’s ambitious growth strategy.
Your main focus will be on maximizing enrolments from these regions, driving the conversion of applicants into enrolled students, and ensuring exceptional customer service throughout the recruitment pipeline.
This role is pivotal in shaping the University’s recruitment strategy for the MENA and Pakistan regions, fostering key partnerships, and contributing to the overall success of international student recruitment team.
You’ll be expected to:
About you
You will bring substantial experience in higher education, particularly in an international student recruitment role, with a proven track record in managing overseas recruitment activities. Your broad understanding of the international recruitment sector—commercially and culturally—will be key to your success.
You will be confident in delivering presentations, managing complex projects, and organizing large-scale events. Additionally, you will possess strong IT skills, including proficiency in relevant software and digital platforms used in recruitment.
As international travel is a key component of this role, applicants must hold a valid passport that allows travel across the MENA and Pakistan region.
