Description of Post
The appointee will be responsible for:
- Management of the Corporate Governance function of the University and all its associated legal entities.
- Supporting the identification, assessment, oversight including monitoring and reporting of risk and promoting a risk management culture in the University.
- Reporting on compliance with the Internal Control Framework of the University
- Supporting the work of the Audit and Risk Committee and its subcommittees and shall be Secretary to the Audit & Risk Committee.
- Managing the University’s insurance cover and dealing with issues arising
- Supporting the Secretary to the Governing Body and taking responsibility for some of the functions of the Secretary from time to time.
Essential Qualifications
- A professional accountancy or legal qualification at level 9 and/or an appropriate post graduate qualification in Corporate Governance.
- Appropriate experience in a commercial or public sector organisation.
- Experience in governance and compliance including risk management
