 As an Events Coordinator you will provide administrative support to the coordination of the Events programme. You will assist the Events Manager and Strategic Events Manager in the organisation of a range of events, including Graduations, contributing to the delivery of a high-quality Events programme that has a particular focus on supporting the strategic objectives and brand priorities of the University plan. Graduations will be a key event for this role, and you will support in ensuring that these provide a positive experience for students and their guests. The Events Coordinators are responsible for delivering an excellent customer service from the point of invitation until after the ceremonies.

 As a Events Coordinator you can expect to be involved in :

  • Provide administrative support to the Events Manager on a wide range of tasks that contribute to the successful planning and delivery of a programme of high quality events, including logistics for each event.
  • Act as a point of contact within the Events team and assist with enquiries (via email, telephone and social media) and providing excellent customer service, ensuring that they are dealt with as swiftly as possible, referring where necessary to the appropriate colleague.
  • Maintain all documentation, records and correspondence necessary to administer the Events programme, contributing to its successful delivery. Including the process of checking and sending graduation certificates after the ceremonies.
  • Assist in the administration of university graduation ceremonies, which take place in July & November annually, contributing to successful delivery and smooth running of the ceremonies.

 What will you bring to the role?

  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent qualification 
  • Experience of working in an events/relevant marketing communications, or administration role 
  • Experience of assisting with the planning and delivery of events 
  • Excellent organisation and planning skills
