Job description:
Applications are invited from highly motivated individuals for the position of Research Associate (Grade 7) within a multidisciplinary team of researchers and clinicians from the Sheffield Dermatology Research group (Division of Clinical Medicine). This post offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the research conducted at our internationally recognised skin barrier laboratory and join the highly successful research team of Professor Cork and Dr Simon Danby. You will conduct translational research on the novel application of in vivo Raman and FTIR spectroscopy in Dermatology and oversee clinical sample analysis in line with Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP).
You will have a PhD or equivalent qualification/work experience and previous experience of skin analysis using Raman and FTIR spectroscopy, clinical research in dermatology and laboratory management. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, as is experience of chemometric analysis. This post provides an excellent opportunity to develop your research skills in the field of translational skin research.
