Finance Manager

Join our dynamic team at the Nuffield Department of Orthopaedics, Rheumatology and Musculoskeletal Sciences as a Finance Manager. In this pivotal role, you will lead and manage the finance team, overseeing their performance and professional development. You will implement strong financial procedures and controls, ensuring accurate and current records of financial transactions and balances in accordance with the University’s Financial Regulations.

 

As a Finance Manager, you will be integral to the administrative management of the department. You will collaborate with the Senior Finance Manager, the Institute Head of Operations for the Botnar Research Centre and Kennedy Institute, and their administrative teams to maintain and enhance an effective research and financial administrative service.

 

We are looking for a candidate with exceptional leadership, management, organizational, and interpersonal skills. If you have a strong background in financial management and analysis, and are ready to take on a challenging and rewarding role, we would love to hear from you.

 

We are seeking a candidate who is qualified or part qualified Accountant, or has substantial experience of financial administration, educated to degree level or has equivalent relevant work experience. The ideal candidate will have advanced numeracy skills coupled with demonstrated ability in financial management and analysis, strong IT skills including experience in the use of the Office 365, particularly Excel, and the ability to learn new systems. They should have proven experience in managing teams, with a strong ability to lead and motivate colleagues.

 

This is a full-time permanent position.
