This post is full time and permanent, working 35 hours per week, which will include some weekend and evening working.
Typical working pattern will be Monday – Friday 7am to 3pm.
The Estates Planning & Services department, within the University of Westminster, seek a Facilities Assistant to join the Estates Services team, providing direct support to colleagues, students and external customers. This post has a number of duties which are all vital to the overall customer experience and operation of the University.
You will have excellent communication skills and a friendly and helpful manner. You will also have a flexible and organised approach to make the busy environment run efficiently, prioritisation skills are therefore important. Knowledge of health and safety requirements is required as well as a basic level of computer literacy.
This role is physically active and requires a large amount of lifting and moving furniture, together with providing support to the ‘Goods In’ area receiving deliveries. An understanding of manual handling guidelines is also desirable.
Some additional hours may be required subject to sufficient notice and paid overtime/working day adjustment.
