Peterhouse is the oldest College in Cambridge (founded in 1284) and is among the smallest (currently 280 undergraduates; 176 postgraduates; 43 Fellows).
The Tutorial Office Manager is responsible for the smooth running of the Tutorial Office and assists the Senior Tutor and the Tutors in the administration of all matters relating to the education, welfare and pastoral support of the junior members of the College, also overseeing the admission process for postgraduate students. The Tutorial Office Manager is a strategic point of contact for junior members, College Officers and other College and University colleagues. The Tutorial Office Manager ensures that an efficient and professional level of administrative support is provided to all College and University colleagues. The Tutorial Office comprises of five members of staff: the Tutorial Office Manager, the Tutorial Officer, the Postgraduate Administrator, the Tutorial Administrator, and the Praelector’s and Tutorial Administrator.
The successful applicant will have strong management, organisational and communication skills, and be able to demonstrate discretion, professionalism and confidentiality in dealing with a wide range of people from differing backgrounds. Experience of being able to prioritise a large workload whilst working under pressure is essential. Recent experience of working in similar environment, in a managerial role, would be highly beneficial. The successful applicant must possess the ability to build strong working relationships, whilst managing the workload of a busy, multi-functional office, which is at the heart of the College.

Successful applicants will be invited for a second stage panel interview, which will take place Friday 11th April 2025.
It is expected that the start date for this post will be around the middle of July 2025 to allow a handover with the current postholder before their planned retirement.
