Campion Hall invites applications from candidates with event management experience to fulfil the part-time role of Events Manager in a small and friendly team. The post holder will be committed to ensuring that the mission of Campion Hall is carried forward through events, and to fostering an atmosphere of hospitality and care for all participants.
The Events Manager will have overall responsibility for delivery of all events services, including Hall-led functions and occasional external business. They will be the main liaison partner between event organiser and relevant domestic services, catering, communications, and the accounts team. Event organisers include internal stakeholders, such as the Master’s Office, Bursar, academic-related events, Middle Common Room (student) events, Fellows, and partnering institutions within Oxford and further afield.
Excellent administration and communication skills are essential. The successful candidate will need to have a hands-on approach to the role, to work independently, and be able to respond under pressure. The role includes attendance at events to ensure delivery. The position therefore requires a high degree of flexibility towards working hours, including some evening work. Weekend work is very occasional.
