The post holder will work with other Clinical Lecturers (Teaching) within the department to provide ongoing support for existing medical education projects, teaching delivery, scholarship, as well as curriculum design and development.
About the role
As a Clinical Lecturer (Teaching), you will collaborate closely with the MBBS Senior Leadership Team, academic staff, and professional services to enhance and innovate the Medicine degree curriculum. Your role will involve revising and developing teaching materials, introducing innovative methods like Team-Based Learning and online education, and ensuring alignment with the UCLMS Curriculum Map and GMC's Outcomes for Graduates (2018).
This role offers the opportunity to shape future medical education and contribute to the growth and success of the MBBS programme at UCL.

About you
The ideal candidate will hold a primary medical qualification with full GMC registration and have proven experience in teaching within clinical and non-clinical settings. They should have a strong understanding of medical education pedagogy and a commitment to fostering effective learning environments. Excellent teamwork, communication, and organisational skills are essential, along with the ability to motivate colleagues and engage with learning technologies. Experience in undergraduate teaching, leadership, and educational resource development is highly valued, and a postgraduate qualification in education or research interest in medical education would be advantageous. A commitment to continuous professional development and an appreciation of Equal Opportunities policy in the workplace are also key requirements for this role.
