Annual Leave: 30 days plus standard public holidays and an additional 4 days including the closure of our office between Christmas and New Year

Location: Maclaurin Building, Hatfield 

The University has flexible location principles, but there is an expectation that this post, will where be required, be able to be on campus any day of the working week. 

We are looking to appoint a Change Manager with substantial proven experience of managing change/digital transformation across a large or complex service operation who will successfully support the delivery of a new Student Record System, on time and on budget, through a new programme of work, i.e. Project Phoenix. 

Main duties and responsibilities

The Change Manager - Project Phoenix will be responsible for all aspects of change management relating to the procurement and implementation of a new student record system (Project Phoenix). 

You will manage the change management process, ensuring changes are documented and reviewed, identify key stakeholders and be responsible for monitoring and assessing the readiness and impact of change and lead on the design, development, delivery and management of key communications to stakeholders to ensure their understanding and buy-in. The Change Manager - Project Phoenix will monitor changes to ensure they are tracked from initiation to completion, identify and manage anticipated and persistent resistance to change and identify, analyse and prepare risk mitigation tactics to minimise the adverse effects of change. You will build capability for change by training and coaching others to handle change and communicating with stakeholders, integrate change management activities into the project plan and promote the changing vision and advocate for the change. 

Skills and experience required

You will have substantial proven experience of managing change for a large development project or complex service operation and proven experience with and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools. The Change Manager – Project Phoenix will have proven experience and ability to engage with a wide range of people, in a customer focused environment and experience of managing work activities which require a high level of collaborative working, time management and negotiating skills in a busy environment. Experience and understanding of the academic management and business and process requirements of education providers is desirable for this role.

Qualifications required

You will be educated with a minimum of a Degree or equivalent or substantial proven experience in a similar role. A relevant professional qualification in change management and/or relevant accreditation is also essential.
