About us
The School of Global Affairs (SGA) is seeking a full-time Senior Programmes Officer to work within the School’s Professional and Continuing Education (PACE) team. This is an exciting opportunity to support hybrid, online and leadership education programmes, joining a new team at the SGA dedicated to supporting a suite of innovative programmes. The successful candidate would work with academics belonging to a group of diverse Institutes and Centres at whose core is some of the most pressing issues facing the world today. You would be key in delivering a high-quality student and staff experience as well as establishing groundbreaking ways of delivering non-standard programmes, the processes that frame those programmes and developing best practice. You would be part of a wider School-based professional services team and have contact with networks at King’s such as King’s Digital. If you are an experienced HEI professional who wants to move into the field of online and blended education support and expertise, this is the role for you.
About the role
The Senior Programme Officer role provides essential advice and support to students and academics alike. Working in a fast-paced environment, the role includes solving complex queries and issues at all points of the student life cycle, supporting activities such as timetabling, module diets and assessment boards, using databases and Microsoft Excel to maintain accurate student data on progress and achievement, drafting correspondence and emails, and delivering a high-quality service across PGT cohorts. Working with colleagues to plan and coordinate a varied set of activities, you will have opportunities to further develop your knowledge of regulations and process and be part of professional networks promoting best practice. As part of the King’s community, you’ll work alongside inspiring academic staff, professional services staff and students.
The role will report to the School Programmes Manager (PACE) and is based at Bush House on the Strand campus. Professional services staff are currently working on a hybrid basis, meaning that the role holder will spend part of their working week on campus and the remainder working remotely.
More information about the School can be found here: https://www.kcl.ac.uk/global-affairs.
This role is full time and will be offered on an indefinite contract.
