About the Role

CAGE is an established research centre based in the Department of Economics at the University of Warwick and has recently been awarded £7.1 million by the Economics and Social Research Council (ESRC) to continue its research programme for the next five years.
This Research Assistant (CAGE) position will assist Dr Amrita Kulka and Dr Nikhil Datta in the successful execution of their Big Data project “Planning and the UK Housing System” funded and supported by CAGE. In the face of plummeting housing affordability in the UK, the overall project examines multiple dimensions of the UK housing and planning system, with several sub-projects addressing different policy-relevant questions.
These include topics centred around the role of the planning system in reducing housing supply and affordability, generating market power in the housing market as well as questions related to the role of information flows in housing search. For further details, please check the lead researchers’ websites or reach out to them with questions via email.
The start date is flexible, and the contract will be for 18 months with scope for discussion.
