Position

The Role:

The Language Gallery (TLG) is a contemporary institution dedicated to providing a diverse range of programmes. Our commitment is centered around a student-centric learning and teaching methodology, emphasisingprogressiveness,forward-thinking,andmodernapproachestailoredtomeetthediverseneeds of our learners.

The Head of Assessments has the direct responsibility of developing and delivering high-quality and scalable assessment processes, workflows and technologies to support the increase in student numbers and programme delivery within TLG.

This role will have responsibility for academic administrative procedures, systems, student data and assessments.

This is a pivotal role designed to uphold and enhance the academic quality and operational efficiency of all assessment-related activities.

The successful candidate will lead on ensuring that all assessments are designed, delivered, and managed to the highest standards, providing a robust framework for quality assurance across the institution.

This role demands a proactive leader with excellent attention to detail, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to influence and support staff in maintaining rigorous academic standards.

Requirements

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • Undergraduate degree, and/or professional qualification
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of the Higher; Education sector / educational sector and assessment operations.
  • Proven experience in leading successful assessment and operations change
  • An excellent understanding and working knowledge of all aspects of assessment administration and organisational management in an Educational Institution.
  • Lead on Academic Registry’s assessment strategies and plans.
  • Able to develop innovative solutions and practical implementations for strategic and operational change within the assessment team.
  • Able to make judgements on significant new problems where precedent may not apply
  • Confident communicator able to explain and discuss education and student experience activities within the College
