The groups of Andy Jones and Dan Rigden at the University of Liverpool are recruiting for a recently funded Wellcome Trust Discovery Award, “Next generation genome annotation for eukaryotic pathogens and vectors, using artificial intelligence”. In this role, we are looking for a bioinformatician with expertise/interest in pipeline development and execution, and genome annotation. Your role will be to help us develop and deploy new AI-driven pipelines for annotating 100s of genomes and making data widely available via the VEuPathDB database. The post is initially available for 3 years, potentially extendable to 5 years.
If you are still awaiting your PhD to be awarded you will be appointed at Grade 6, spine point 30. Upon written confirmation that you have been awarded your PhD, your salary will be increased to Grade 7, spine point 31.
