About the Role:

Hartpury University is looking for an experienced Psychology academic to lead the development and delivery of Psychology provision.  The role will be permanent, with the opportunity for negotiation on full-time or fractional appointment and the level of the role, depending upon the successful candidate's experience and personal circumstances.

You will:

  • Lead on the development, validation and delivery of our new psychology provision (at undergraduate and postgraduate level) for a 2026 launch.
  • Aspire continuous improvement of the student experience, teaching and learning excellence, and have a relationship with the relevant professional bodies to support curriculum endorsement and accreditation.
  • Demonstrate specialist knowledge/experience within sport and exercise psychology/psychology.
  • Contribute to RKE activities and income generation to support institutional output and impact plans and ensure the development of a research-informed curriculum.

About You:

  • Experience of curriculum development and validating professional body accredited awards.
  • Relevant level 8 qualification/ideally be HCPC registered as a Chartered Psychologist.
  • Professional recognition such as FHEA/SFHEA or equivalent/commitment to achieve the relevant status within one year of employment.
  • Experience of conducting applied research projects that lead to impactful outputs.
  • Foster industry partnerships which provide opportunities for students.
  • Work independently/experience of leading others through successful projects.
