We are looking to recruit an experienced medical educator to support the development, delivery, and evaluation of a high quality programme of assessments. You will have responsibility for leading in-course and clinical assessments and offers the opportunity to implement curriculum innovations to ensure the learning environment at Cardiff stands out as nationally and internationally excellent.
You will support all in course and clinical assessment activity ensuring delivery of a research informed assessment programme that adheres to current curricula requirements.
You will also develop and implement innovative and appropriate assessment techniques and materials which create interest, understanding and enthusiasm amongst our students.
Key performance measures for the role will include sustained achievement of overall satisfaction scores of >90% in the NSS and >80% satisfaction in the Assessment and Feedback category of the NSS Survey; producing and implementing a forward looking assessment strategy addressing local and regulatory requirements which ensures continuous progression and evolution of the curriculum and its assessment.
The post holder will also contribute to education scholarship and faculty development to further enhance the quality of medical teaching in the University.
We are looking for an experienced medical educator with relevant teaching/assessment experience and an MBBCh. Applicants should also be able to demonstrate academic leadership experience at undergraduate or postgraduate level and have successful experience with implementing teaching / assessment innovations, commensurate with Lecturer level.
The post is based at the Heath Park site.
The majority of roles at Cardiff University are currently operating under “blended working” arrangements, with staff having the flexibility to work partly from home and partly from the University campus depending on specific business requirements.
