Associate Lecturer (Teaching) in Energy Infrastructure Systems

About the role

The Infrastructure and Cities section focuses on advancing infrastructure resilience and sustainable urban development through innovative research and interdisciplinary collaboration.

• Contribute to delivering CEGE's undergraduate and master level programmes and to different modules as required and in line with the department’s overall objectives
• Lead teaching activities of complex systems/sustainability and building energy efficiency modules as module coordinator.
• Supervise student's group projects and research projects on energy infrastructure systems.

About you

The ideal candidate will:

• Hold or be nearing completion of a PhD in energy systems or an equivalent field and possess a higher education teaching qualification.
• Demonstrate a strong background in Energy Infrastructure Systems, as evidenced by publications in leading academic journals and presentations at international conferences.
• Have experience supervising postgraduate research projects and collaborating effectively with industry partners
• Demonstrate a proven ability to strategically plan and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including designing and implementing teaching materials.
• Demonstrate proficiency in marking coursework and providing constructive feedback
• Have a track record of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

This role is funded until the 31st of March 2026.
