About the role

The Library is looking for an enthusiastic, customer-focussed team member to join our Customer Services and Engagement Team during our busy academic term periods.

With an emphasis on providing first class customer service, you will be responsible for interacting with, and engaging students and other library users at all stages of their academic journey, from welcoming customers and identifying individual needs, to fulfilling those needs in order to provide the best possible learning experience.

Working on a rota basis across both our campus libraries, you will handle library transactions, assist customers with the use of library equipment and services, answer in-person, email and chat-based enquiries, and maintain a safe and welcoming working environment conducive to study. You will also participate in library engagement activities, events and social media campaigns, conduct library tours and perform various administrative tasks to contribute to the smooth operation of the library.

This position is available part-time for 37 hours per week (1 FTE) Term Time Only (TTO).
