Background
The University Admissions Office, led by the Head of Admissions, provides a number of essential services to the University which are central to the meeting of undergraduate and postgraduate recruitment targets and ensuring the admissions of high quality students.
We are seeking to recruit two Admissions Officers to join our team.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Postgraduate Admissions Officer, this varied role is responsible for receiving and processing applications within one or more Academic Schools using defined entry criteria in a timely and professional manner.
You will use your expertise, judgement and knowledge, researching qualifications to make decisions, issue offers, check and confirm conditions relating to the offers have been consistently applied and met, including visa compliance, and communicate final decisions.
Person Specification
We are looking for customer focused individuals with administrative experience in an office environment, ideally within a role supporting admissions in UK higher education where you have experience of decision making under delegated authority.
You will have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to work within a team as well as with minimal supervision.
You will be self-motivated and able to work quickly and accurately under pressure.
A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and experience with SITS is desirable.
