We are currently seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our dynamic group at the Department of Biology, University of Oxford. The Verd lab is interested in the diversity of biological form, how it is generated and how it evolves. In particular we focus on the evolution and evolvability of vertebral counts, and we use various species of Lake Malawi cichlids as our model organism. To address these questions, we combine a series of interdisciplinary approaches ranging from experimental embryology and fluorescent microscopy to mathematical modelling. The lab is highly interdisciplinary and collaborative.
